Itinerary
Touch down in Srinagar and by noon we hit the road towards Sonamarg, the “Meadow of Gold.” As the mountains close in and rivers race alongside, the Himalayas welcome you in their own dramatic style.
In the evening, the nomadic caravan gathers for the first time. Introductions, team bonding, route briefings, and safety protocols set the tone for the adventure ahead. Tonight, excitement runs high as the mountains whisper what lies ahead.
Engines fire up with the familiar dug-dug-dug—the call of the mountains answered. Today marks the first ride on the legendary Srinagar–Leh Highway, a dream road for every rider.
We conquer the mighty Zoji La, a pass that tests skill, patience, and nerve. The ride continues to Drass, where we pause at the Kargil War Memorial, paying tribute to the brave hearts who defended these mountains. By evening, we roll into Kargil for a well-earned rest.
The Himalayas start getting under your skin today. Riding deeper into Ladakh, the landscapes transform with every turn.
En route, seek blessings at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, experience the mystery of Magnetic Hill, and witness the dramatic confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. The terrain turns surreal at Moonland near Lamayuru, followed by the ancient Mulbekh Buddha carved into rock. By evening, Leh welcomes the nomads into its high-altitude embrace.
Today, legends are made. The caravan rides towards Khardung La (18,380 ft)—one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Flags flutter, oxygen thins, and hearts race as dreams turn real.
Descending into Nubra Valley, you enter a land where deserts, rivers, and snow-clad peaks coexist. Meet the rare double-humped Bactrian camels and seek blessings at the towering Maitreya Buddha at Diskit Gompa. Overnight amidst Nubra’s raw beauty.
This is pure adventure. Riding through one of the most remote and challenging routes of the expedition, the day throws everything at you—water crossings, dry riverbeds, broken trails, and smooth tarmac.
And then, like a mirage, appears Pangong Tso—its ever-changing shades of blue erasing all fatigue. Camping beside this high-altitude wonder, under a sky full of stars, is nothing short of magical.
We ride along the pristine shores of Pangong before heading deeper into no-man’s land. Crossing Chushul, the caravan reaches the historic Rezang La War Memorial—a solemn stop to honor India’s bravest soldiers.
Post lunch at Tsaga or Loma, the journey continues into extreme isolation. By evening, we reach Hanle, one of India’s most remote villages. Visit the famed Hanle Observatory and experience silence like never before. Homestay under starlit skies.
The ultimate dream day. Today, we ride to the highest motorable road on Earth—Umling La (19,300 ft). Higher than Everest Base Camp, this road defines human endurance and engineering.
Celebrate the moment with a warm cup of tea at the legendary Oxygen Café, then ride back to Hanle, carrying a sense of achievement that few ever experience.
Leaving Hanle, the caravan rides through some of Ladakh’s most untouched terrain via Nyoma and Mahe Bridge. The landscapes feel raw, vast, and humbling.
By evening, the emerald waters of Tso Moriri greet us. Check into cozy cottages or homestays and soak in the serenity of this high-altitude lake.
Wake up to a soul-stirring sunrise over Tso Moriri. After breakfast, we head south into high-altitude wilderness.
Ride across the endless More Plains, climb Lachung La, conquer the legendary Gata Loops, and pass through Pang. By evening, we arrive at Sarchu, perched between Ladakh and Himachal. Camp under a sky blazing with stars.
One of the toughest yet most rewarding riding days. Expect rough trails, water crossings, and unpaved roads that push skills to the limit.
Cross Baralacha La, witness Suraj Tal and Deepak Tal, and ride through Zing Zing Bar, Darcha, Jispa, Keylong, and Tandi. Enter the marvel of engineering—the Atal Tunnel—and emerge into lush green valleys. Manali feels like another world altogether.
It’s time for final chat with the fellow nomads and bid adieu to this trip. Saying goodbye is always hard but we promise we will meet back for more such journeys and living in your memories for life. After breakfast check out from the hotel at 10:00 AM. You can keep your luggage at cloak room. Rest full day you can take local tour of Manali. You will be transferred to Delhi via Volvo Semi sleeper bus in the night.
Arrive in Delhi by morning. Final hugs, final smiles, and countless stories to take back home.
